Situated next to the serene town of the same name in the Robertson Valley, lies the McGregor Winery, which has been producing wine since 1950. In May 2004, the McGregor Wine Company was established, and its aim is to promote the McGregor brand nationally and internationally. Intergral to that is a move from more than half a century of bulk trading to bottled sales. We have 35 producers who are the main shareholders of the McGregor Wine Company.

Producing high quality wine on a small scale, musician and Garagiste John Hargreaves makes his acclaimed Wolfdoring Rusty's range of reds at his home. With hand-picking and a gentle approach, John aims to retain the inherent varietal flavour in his wines.

Koningsrivier Winery     Winery, Wine Cellar   www

Koningsrivier, the farm lies off the main road between Robertson and McGregor. Named for the Konings River, a tributary of the Breede River a few kilometers away.

Winemaker Niel Colyn is the fifth generation farmer and 1st generation winemaker of his family to be producing grapes and wine on the same farm. Niel started handcrafting his own wines in 2002 and after careful planning his first wines were bottled in 2005. A growing support base are now enjoying his bold red wines.
