First, apologies for the late arrival of this newsletter, which was intended for distribution during the third quarter of 2011, but is now going out in the last, as the year races to a close. In this newsletter you will find news of our work on the restoration of old houses in McGregor, what is happening in terms of the Krans Nature Reserve, our engagement with the youth of McGregor and the Museum.

Once this has been done, we will be in regular contact with CapeNature and the relevant officials in the Department of Environment and Development in the Province re proceeding with their promised action on rezoning and protection of – not only the Krans – but the larger area identified by their experts as being in need of conservation.
Meanwhile, we have all enjoyed a spectacular spring on the Krans, with a floral display second to none. Atholl Hay provided the photographs above as mementoes. - Myrna Robins
