Travelling from Cape Town, take the N1 and go past Paarl, through the Hugenot Tunnel and take the 2nd traffic light turn off to Worcester, or from Johannesburg take the first traffic light turn off to Worcester.
When in Worcester, follow the signs to Robertson.
About half way through Robertson you will come across the McGregor turn off on the right. Follow this road, over the Breede River, and then bear left to McGregor (19km).

Advice for travellers
- McGregor is either extremely hot or extremely cold, depending on which season you visit the town. During summer, you will need effective sunscreen and a hat between 9am and 3pm. Don't forget insect repellent, as the "mozzies" are active during the warmer months. Fresh produce isn't always available, but nearby Robertson is approximately 10 minutes' drive away and has a wide variety of shops available.
- McGregor has one ATM, but enquire whether a business has credit/debit card facilities before you make your purchase. Cash is always welcome.
- Be diligent about stopping before the white line at McGregor's intersections. The town's police are rather strict on motorists breaking the rules, and a R500 fine on a weekend breakaway isn't a pleasant expense to incur.
