Local Artists, potters and crafters offer a range of works created in McGregor. McGregor has an Art Route of venues permanently open. Permanent Art-Route members are indicated by the Art-Route Logo.
There are many theories about the concentration of artistic talents in McGregor. Some say its geological magnetism, ley lines, high energy vortexes maybe even extra-terrestrial forces. The simpler explanation is that it's a beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere where creative people have found space to explore their art. Come and experience the 'energy' yourself.

- Local artists, potters and crafters offer a range of works created in McGregor. Ten venues offer the visitor as many experiences. A brochure with a map, open times and contact details is available at the Tourism Office.

Hand Crafted Bespoke Wood-fired Pottery
- Paul de Jongh and Nina Shand produce high temperature, wood-fired and salt-glazed stoneware and porcelain at their showroom and studio in Bree Street. They also make wood-fired terracotta, electric-fired domestic ware as well as sculptural and decorative raku pieces.

- Edna is a full time artist living and working on her farm in McGregor, in the heart of the breede River Home is a converted barn set in an endless "empty" space of Renosterveld and It is in this silence and nothingness that she creates her art.

Art Studio - Gallery and Internet Cafe
- Realizing just how many talented artists there were in McGregor, with no proper facilities to exhibit their work, James & Anne Binos built an art gallery, alongside their beautiful old house, in July 2003. Mulberry Studio Art Gallery was officially opened on Saturday 25th October, 2003 with an exhibition of paintings by Anne Binos & other artists.

- Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve was once the home of a dozen zebras with unusual stripe patterns. They'd been chosen in the hope of breeding quaggas. The project failed and the stables and staff buildings now serve new purposes. In one of them, at the end of a circuitous bumpy track you will find Roy Reycraft and Pam. Don't be deceived by the Pwd (Public Works Department) look of the place. Inside is a stage setting for Hansel and Gretel - doll's house miniatures and Pam's hand-crafted objects are all over the place.

- Mat McGregor Alternative Technology Centre, is an example of sustainable living, with cob houses, compost toilets, off the grid and permaculture gardens, along with its own selfcatering unit Little Cottage.
