Ten hardworking gardeners will open
their gardens to the public on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd October
2010.
The focus will be on waterwise and indigenous gardens with established
gardens and small scale gardens to view. There is a wild and free
flowing one acre garden and a tiny garden in an informal
settlement.
Also on view is a formal garden with an attractive courtyard and an
amazingly planted indigenous garden in a rocky area. The owners will be
on hand to
answer your questions and share their gardening experiences in the
harsh
dry climate of the little Karoo.
There will be
garden art and plants for sale.
This year
McGregor's famous Art
Route will be open to all
Visit and speak to
the artists in their homes.
Entrance is free
but donations are requested for a charity of choice by the owner
Brochures will be
available from the tourist office with a map of the gardens
